This year‘s Easter Monday programme is dedicated to Czech Easter cuisine which is quite different from what you will find on the typical Czech table during the rest of the year. Radio Prague talked to Lucie Kohoutová, a young Prague-based food blogger and sommelier, better known in the foodie circles as Coq au Vin.

Lori Wyant Selby and Dean Selby are a US married couple who run two popular spots in Prague: burger restaurant The Tavern; and U Kurelů, an old-school pub they have refashioned with great success. Whenever I go to a new city one of my first tasks is to get lost on an empty stomach. There is such an incredible rush I get when on the search for something new to tantalize my palate.

Half the bread and bread rolls produced in the Czech Republic contain more the recommended level of salt, according to the consumer group Vím, co jím a piju (I Know What I Eat and Drink). Tests it carried out found that showed that ordinary white rohlík rolls and brown bread with caraway seeds were most likely to have salt levels above those recommended by the World Health Organization.
