This statue is a 1913 replica by Čeněk Vosmík of Ferdinand Brokoff original sculpture, dating from 1711. The original sculpture was built by the commission of the faculty of theology and philosophy of Charles University, but fell into the river during the floods of 1890. The statue depicts a group of Indian and Japanese princes in the process of baptism by the saint.
