Statue of Saint Joseph

This statue was designed by Josef Max and sponsored by Josef Bergmann, a tradesman in Prague. It depicts St. Joseph, leading a small Christ and is situated on top of a pseudo-gothic base. This replaced a statue with the same motif by Jan Brokoff, designed in 1706. This was damaged by the cannon fire during the revolution in 1848 and was replaced by the current statue in 1854.
