In this Sunday Music we feature music by the Mandrage, a Plzeň-based band whose music ranges from soft and pop-rock to pop-punk.

Ewa Farna appeared on the Czech music scene after winning a talent contest in 2004, and two years later she released her first album titled Měls mě vůbec rád (Did You Ever Love Me?). In her thirteen-year career Farna released twelve albums, of which roughly half are in Czech and half in Polish.

Hana Hegerová –known as the queen of Czech chanson - recorded over twenty albums, appeared in more than a dozen films and gave thousands of concerts in the course of a carrer spanning over half a decade. This week we bring you her last album Mlýnské kolo v srdci mém.

Aneta Langerová is a talented young singer who won the Czech version of the reality talent show Pop Idol in 2004. Her latest album Na Radosti, on which most of the songs are her own, is inspired by nature, folklore and Langerová’s innermost feelings.

The legendary Czech folk singer Wabi Daněk died last week at the age of 70. In the course of a career spanning close to half a century he composed over 100 songs, recorded over a dozen CDs and performed at thousands of concerts and festivals. His biggest hit Rosa na kolejích (Dew on the Tracks) recorded in 1970 became a staple around Czech campfires and a radio evergreen.
