Fr Piotr Krysztofiak is a Polish priest who has been living in the Czech Republic for the last eight years. The prior of Prague's Dominican monastery, he is also parish priest of St Jilij's (St Giles's) church. When we met there recently, Fr Krysztofiak had interesting things to say about the number of Polish priests in the Czech Republic, the differences between Czechs and Poles, being a priest in a largely agnostic country, what having a Polish pope means to Czechs, and the "pitfalls" of the Czech language.

In this week's One on One, Rob Cameron speaks to Vladimir Müller, the Czech Republic's deputy foreign minister for Europe. How will the Czech Republic ratify the EU constitution, with a eurosceptic president installed in Prague Castle and continued political turmoil delaying the announcement of a referendum?

Although Mr Eben is well respected as an actor and musician, he is perhaps best known in the Czech Republic as the host of a hugely popular chat show on Czech TV. Mr Eben's genial on-screen persona has made him one of the country's best loved public figures, and he has won numerous broadcasting awards. Even though he has enjoyed massive success as a chat-show host, Marek Eben originally trained as an actor and still makes regular appearances in Czech theatres. Coilin met up with him

Rob Cameron's guest on this week's One on One is Gipsy, a young rapper with a lot to say about life in the Czech Republic. A member of the country's large Roma minority, Gipsy is highly critical of both white society and Romanies themselves, and believes change can only come from within the Roma community. He's just released his first album in English - Ya Favourite CD Rom - an album full of irony and humour and above all great music.

Many of you will have heard of Petr Ginz, the young talented Jewish boy from Prague who came to be known to the world almost sixty years after he perished at Auschwitz. A copy of his painting "Moon Landscape" was on board the Columbia space shuttle when it exploded in 2003. In the Czech Republic, Petr Ginz was honoured last month with a special stamp released by the Czech Postal Service. His younger sister Chava Pressburger, now 75, is a painter and lives in Israel. Coilin O'Connor's guest on One on One this week is the translator and filmmaker Josef Rauvolf. Although he now works as Culture Editor of the Czech magazine Instinkt, Mr Rauvolf is perhaps best known in this country as the Czech translator of American Beat writers such as William Burroughs and Jack Kerouac. His translations of Burroughs's novels The Naked Lunch and Junky are particularly popular and have sold thousands of copies. In recent years, he has also helped make acclaimed documentaries on underground cultures in both the US and Communist

Tomas Radil was thirteen and a half when he was sent to Auschwitz with his family, after they were deported from their home town of Parkany - now Sturovo in Slovakia - in the spring of 1944. Most of his relatives were murdered, only his father survived. He was one of several thousand inmates who witnessed the liberation of Auschwitz by the Red Army on January 27th, 1945. A retired psychologist and neurologist, Professor Radil shared with Rob Cameron some of his memories of Auschwitz and the camp's liberation.

Zuzana Ruzickova is one of Europe's most respected harpsichordists; she has released around a hundred albums and played in concert halls around the world. She was born in Pilsen in 1927 into an upper class Jewish family, a family that was soon to be decimated by the Holocaust; only she and her mother survived. When I visited her in her flat in Prague 3, she told me how life gradually became unbearable for Jews after the Nazi occupation.

In today's One on One Jan's guest is Marek Tomin - a journalist, traveller, and Greenpeace advisor who is the son of well-known dissident parents who were among the first to sign the human rights charter, Charter 77, in communist Czechoslovakia. In today's programme you'll hear what it was like growing up in a dissident family, how Marek as a child registered just "what was going on".
