Pavla Fleischer is a young documentary maker who was born here in Prague but has been living in London half her life. Her best known project is the award-winning film Blues on the Beach: it was originally intended to show life could be normal in Israel, but that all changed when a bomb ripped through the bar where she was filming, killing three. When I spoke to Pavla Fleischer at Prague's Café Slavia, she first told me a bit about her father Jan, a director and screenwriter who now teaches in the UK.

As chairman and CEO of Ceska Sporitelna bank, Jack Stack is one of the best known foreign businessmen in the Czech Republic. As well as being personally popular, he is also admired for having turned around the bank's fortunes; when he took the helm at the turn of the decade it was deeply in the red - today it is making billions of crowns in profits. When I met Mr Stack at his Prague 4 office, I asked him what the secret of his success at Ceska Sporitelna was.

Dr Otomar Kittnar works at the medical faculty at Prague's Charles University. As vice-dean for international students, it is his job to co-ordinate the enrolment and teaching of students from around the world, in the English language. When the programme began in 1992 there were only five or six students a year. Today it takes in around 120. And, says Dr Kittnar, interest has increased even further since the Czechs joined the European Union.

It's not often you get the chance to talk about history with those who participated in it. But recently while covering a festival of Jewish culture in the south Moravian town of Mikulov, I had that chance. The festival marked the 70th anniversary of the foundation of Mikulov's Jewish museum for Moravia and Silesia, which was closed when the Nazis arrived in 1938. Recently Petr Justa returned from New Orleans, where he and fellow specialists worked to assess the level of damage to that city's most famous cemetery. Prague's Hare Krishnas are a busy bunch. The group operates the Govinda restaurants, which are known for vegetarian meals and relatively cheap prices, and also runs an ecological farm just south of the city. Perhaps they are more known for their brightly colored robes and energetic chants in demonstrations three to four times a week on Wenceslas Square. Rob Cameron's guest in this week's One on One is Stepan Vymetal, chief psychologist at the Czech Interior Ministry. Stepan belongs to a team responsible for post-traumatic stress support for the Czech police force. He also co-ordinates psychological assistance for Czech Airlines, and is a member of the World Association for Disaster and Emergency medicine. He's worked with traumatized people after the 2002 floods, the 2004 tsunami in South East Asia, and the 2005 terrorist attacks in Egypt.

Jan Culik lecturers in Czech at the Slavonic Studies department at Glasgow University's School of Modern Languages and Cultures. He is also well known here in the Czech Republic as a political commentator and the man behind the Britske listy website. In the first part of our interview last week, he recalled aspects of his life in Prague before he left Czechoslovakia in the 1970s. Today Jan Culik talks about what happened when he moved to Glasgow.
