Rob Cameron's guest in this week's One on One is the American photographer Chad Evans Wyatt, whose collection of portraits of middle-class Czech Roma is currently on display at Prague Castle. Chad, who grew up in New York and is now based in Washington, was driven by a desire to challenge traditional stereotypes of the country's large Roma minority, showing Romanies who have battled discrimination to become "regular" members of Czech society.

In One on One Jan Velinger's guest is Ted Whang - an American music teacher and English teacher of Korean, Japanese, and Czech descent, who has lived and worked in Prague since 1992. Ted studied music education in Valpairaiso, Indiana, and taught piano and English in the now defunct theatre department at the conservatory in Prague. Involved in numerous music projects, he wrote the lyrics for several songs for two up & coming stars: contestants in first Czech edition of Pop Idol who have since become household names.

Rob Cameron's guest in One on One is Adriana Krnacova, executive director of the Czech branch of the anti-corruption watchdog Transparency International. Corruption is a major problem in Czech society, with bribe-taking officials and opaque government tenders frequently making headlines.

Coilin O'Connor's guest for One on One this week is Vaclav Marhoul who was in the news earlier this year as the organiser of the huge military parade held in Prague's Letenska Plan to mark the 60th anniversary of the end of the Second World War. Besides this activity, Mr Marhoul has many other interests. In addition to his work as a writer and producer for the popular Sklep theatre, he is a well known filmmaker and former head of Barrandov Studios. Rob Cameron's guest on One on One is David Cermak, from an initiative to defend the organisers of the recent CzechTek festival, an event that rocked the political scene in this country and divided the Czech public. The police decision to break up CzechTek with force, following complaints from the owners of neighbouring plots of land, made headlines around the world, and the event has become a cause celebre.

My guest today is Dr Mila Saskova-Pierce, who works at the University of Nebraska's Department of Modern Languages. Dr Saskova-Pierce was born in Prague, but like many of her generation, left after the Soviet invasion of 1968. She has been living in Nebraska for the last 16 years, and is an active member of the state's Czech community. When she visited us here at Radio Prague, I asked Mila Saskova-Pierce: why Nebraska?

Rob Cameron's guest on this week's One on One is Sahib al-Nassir, an Iraqi-born architect turned bar owner who's made Prague his home. Sahib studied architecture in Prague and Baghdad, but in 1977 he decided to flee the regime of Saddam Hussein and live permanently abroad, first in London, then in Prague. He now owns a popular bar called Cheers, and is also involved in property development.

Michael Radford adapted and directed the film Nineteen Eighty-four, but is perhaps best known as the director and co-writer of the Oscar-nominated Italian language film The Postman. Recently Michael Radford was the president of the grand jury at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, and I met him at the town's Hotel Embassy. It wasn't Mr Radford's first visit to the Czech Republic - as he told me, his Czech connections go way back.

Yugoslav-born Vlado Milunic is one of the most respected architects based in the Czech Republic, whose work includes a well-known and remarkably quirky and playful housing estate in Petriny, a Prague district, and the world-class Dancing House on the banks of the Vltava River, which he collaborated on with renowned architect Frank Gehry. In our interview Vlado Milunic talks about his views on architecture and the Dancing House, as well as the mystique the city of Prague has held for him ever since he first arrived at the age of just sixteen.

Rob Cameron's guest on this week's One on One is Dagmar Kocmankova, co-founder of the street magazine Novy Prostor. The magazine is the Czech equivalent of the Big Issue - the British street paper sold by homeless people. Novy Prostor was first published, under the name "Patron", in 1999, and since then has gone from strength to strength.
