Today we continue in our readings from the entries sent in by our listeners for Radio Prague's annual competition in which we asked our listeners to identify three short sounds we played. Last week we heard the full entries by the English Section's finalists, Alon Raab and Brian Kendall, and today we'll read excerpts from the runner up entries in English.

In early July we announced the winner of Radio Prague's annual competition in which we asked you to identify three sounds connected to Prague. This year, the winner of a trip to Prague is Dimitriy Balykin from Russia. The English translation of his entry can be viewed on our website. Instead of our usual Mailbox programme today, you have a chance to hear the full entries by the two finalists chosen by the English Section.

We received a lot of answers from all around the world - although not quite as many as last time and several of you wrote in saying you found the competition particularly hard this year.
