The summer of 2001 was a particularly bad one for Czech bee-keepers. Foul-brood- a destructive bacterial disease - swept through many parts of the country, and entire bee colonies succumbed to it. Bee-keepers had the suspicion that the disease was imported - and the experts now know what happened. Also in this weeks magazine, twelve years after the fall of communism Czechs have finally tired of ads. They are now asking advertisers to try and be "more honest".
