| Subject of the stamps and coupons: | a) Betta splendens comes originally from Thailand. This 6 centimeters long fish have a special organ under their gills, a sort of labyrinth which enables them to breath atmospheric air. b) Pterophyllum scalare is one of the most popular kinds of aquarium fish. It has been genetically developed into a broad colour variety and forms of veil. c) Carassius auratus - this kind of fish appearing in many colours and bizarre shapes can be kept also in garden ponds. In contrast to their tropical cousins they do not need warm water. d) Symphysodon aequifasciatus originates from the waters of South America. It appears in many colours - both natural and genetically developed. It has high requirements concerning the quality and temperature of water. |
