Czech Legends

The Legend of Bruncvik's odyssey is reminiscent of those of Ulysses, Jason and Hercules. People say that it is the pet lion he picked up on his travels that is in the Czech state symbol today.

Bivoj was so strong that he could catch a wild boar with his bare hands.

Semik, the horse, saved his owner, Horymir, from a terrible fate.

Vlasta and her band of Bohemian Amazon lured Ctirad and his men to their deaths using the beautiful Sarka as bait.

The Knights of Blanik lay asleep inside Blanik Mountain. When things are at their worst in the Czech lands, they will come to the rescue.

Many of the Czech Republic's countless castles are haunted by a "White Lady," (Bila pani).
