The 2014 Winter Olympics take place in the Russian city of Sochi from February 7-23. Sportsmen and women from around the world will compete for medals in 15 disciplines and 98 competitions. The Czechs too have hopes of success which could write them into the Olympic history books. Will speed skater Martina Sáblíková be able to repeat her 2010 success when she won gold in both the 3000 and 5000 meters events? How will Czechs fare in the ice hockey competition which they won for the first, and last, time in Nagano in 1998? And what results can Czechs expect in the biathlon, ski, and other disciplines?
