This year - like every year - we were trying to think of a special gift we could leave underneath the Christmas tree for Radio Prague listeners. After thinking long and hard, we decided to record some Czech Christmas carols. First of all we thought we would use pre-recorded music, but then an idea occurred to us: why not sing them ourselves? To our great joy, the idea was accepted by everyone, and so the Radio Prague Choir came into being, and with it an original recording of the best-known Czech carols. You can now listen to them on our website. Not only that - each carol is accompanied by lyrics and the score, so you can sing along with us. We have also prepared a short series of photos, for those of you who would like to learn more about our choir and how the recording was made.
The recording of Czech Christmas carols sung by the Radio Prague Choir may not be professional, but it comes from the heart. We sang them for you, our listeners and fans, wherever you are in the world.
